Skin regimen for oily skin

  • Wash your face twice a day and after perspire heavily.
  • If you have oily skin and no acne, use a face wash with aloe Vera or tea tree oil. This will cleanse the face and reduce the amount of oil.
  • If you have acne prone skin, or a lot of blackheads or whiteheads, use a cleanser which contains salicylic acid or glycolic acid.
  • Use a alcohol free toner to remove the excess oil and grease from your skin.
  • Use a gel based sunscreen or ones that are oil free and produce matte effect.
  • And do not forget to moisturize your skin even if it is oily (use oil free moisturizer) because moisturizing is the significant part of any skin care regimen.
  • Use a product labelled as "non comedogenic" in case if you have lots of blackheads and whiteheads.
  • Coming to cosmetics, stay miles away from cosmetics which have oil. Although oil based cosmetics give a shine to your skin, they can clog pores and causes whiteheads and blackheads.

  • Never apply additional makeup without first removing the old one.
  • Do not use cold creams, oil, or lotions to remove makeup.
  • Micellar water can be used to remove makeup.
